Pristatytas naujas albumas
2015 m. vasario 11 d. Vytauto Didžiojo universitete pristatytas Tomo Pabedinsko ir Romualdo Požerskio sudarytas albumas “Lietuva. 1988-1993″.
R. Požerskio fotografijų albumas „Lietuva 1988–1993“ skirtas istoriniams įvykiams, vedusiems į mūsų šalies nepriklausomybės atgavimą. Iš aštuoniolikos tūkstančių kadrų, įamžintų nuo 1988 m. iki 1993 m., albume publikuojama 313 fotografijų. Jas papildo žymių asmenybių prisiminimai apie lemtingus Lietuvai įvykius ir tų įvykių vertinimai iš šiandienos perspektyvos.
Naujajame albume pateikiamos fotografijos ir tekstai kartu kuria autentišką pasakojimą apie Lietuvos kelią į laisvę. Vaizdai, užfiksavę dramatiškus istorinius įvykius – nuo pirmųjų Sąjūdžio mitingų iki Sovietinės kariuomenės pasitraukimo iš Lietuvos – turi neįkainojamą dokumentinę vertę. Tačiau tai – daugiau nei vien istorijos vaizdiniai dokumentai. Fotografijose įamžinti ne tik svarbūs įvykiai, bet ir jų dalyvių išgyvenimai, netiesiogiai perteiktos paties fotografo anuomet patirtos emocijos.
On the 11th of February the presentation of the new album “Lithuania. 1988-1993″ edited by Tomas Pabedinskas and Romualdas Požerskis took place at Vytautas Magnus University.
Romualdas Požerskis’ new album “Lithuania 1988–1993” is dedicated to the historical events, which led to the resumption of the independence of the country. 313 photographs selected out of eighteen thousand pictures made between 1988 and 1993 are published in the album. The photographs are complemented by the prominent personalities’ memories and contemporary evaluations of the decisive events of Lithuania’s history.
The photographs ant the texts published in the new album create the authentic narration about Lithuania’s way to freedom. The images, which captured dramatic historical events – from the first meetings of Reform Movement of Lithuania till the withdrawal of the Soviet army from Lithuania – are invaluable in documentary respect. But it is more than mere visual documents of the history. Not only important events, but also the experience of the participants of these events and the emotions of the photographer are recorded in the photographs.
