Paskaita muziejuje
2023 m. rugsėjo 28 d. Tomas Pabedinskas skaitė paskaitą Nacionalinio M. K. Čiurlionio dailės muziejaus Kauno paveikslų galerijoje. Paskaita „Fotografas kaip modernaus miesto klajoklis“ – tai parodos „Antanas Ingelevičius: kūrėjas ir miestas“ lydinčių renginių ciklo dalis. Paskaitos metu aptarta tarpukario Lietuvos fotografija, kurios didelė dalis atliko reprezentacinę funkciją ir idealizavo atkurtą valstybę. Svarbi vieta to laikotarpio fotografijoje teko ir tuometinei Laikinajai sostinei – Kaunui. Tačiau modernėjantis miestas turėjo ir kitą, „nefasadinę“ pusę, kuri fotografų dėmesio sulaukdavo rečiau. Ją savo nuotraukose įamžino Antanas Ingelevičius, išsiskirdamas iš savo amžininkų fotografų, o šiandieniniam žiūrovui užduodamas klausimą, kaip turėtume vertinti lietuvių autoriaus kūrybą tarptautinės fotografijos kontekste. Ar galime Antaną Ingelevičių laikyti miesto klajokliu, kuris įkūnijo modernios eros fotografo vaizdinį?

On the 28th of September, 2023, Tomas Pabedinskas gave a lecture at the Kaunas Picture Gallery of the M. K. Čiurlionis National Museum of Art. The lecture “Photographer as A Flâneur of Modern City” was a part of the series of the events following the exhibition “Antanas Ingelevičius: Creator and The City”. The lecture discussed Lithuanian photography in the interwar period, when the major part of it served the representative function and idealised the restored state. Kaunas – the temporary capital – had an important place in photography of that period. However, Kaunas, despite becoming a modern city, also had the other, not representative side, which rarely draw the attention of photographers. This part of the city was captured by Antanas Ingelevičius, who stood out of his contemporaries and raised a question to a present day viewer how one should evaluate author’s works in the context of international photography. Can we consider Antanas Ingelevičius a flâneur of the modern city, who embodied the image of the modern era photographer?
