Fotografų simpoziume Nidoje

2026 m., rugsėjo 18 d., tarptautiniame fotografų simpoziume „NIDA. Sutikti fotografiją“ Nidoje Tomas Pabedinskas skaitė paskaitą, kurioje apžvelgė fotografijos ir ypač jos materialios formos – fotografijos atspaudo – reikšmę kuriant tarpasmeninius ir bendruomeninius ryšius skirtinguose kontekstuose ir įvairiais Lietuvos istorijos laikotarpiais. Paskaita parodė, kaip XIX a. dvarų gyvenime, XX a. pabaigos menininkų kūryboje ir šiandieninėse subkultūrose fotografavimosi ritualai, apsikeitimai atspaudais, jų cirkuliacija tarsi „suklijuoja“ bendrą žmonių būtį materialiame, realiame pasaulyje.

On the 18th of September, 2026 Tomas Pabedinskas gave a lecture at the international photography symposium “NIDA. Meeting Photography” in Nida. The lecture examined the significance of photography—and specifically its material form, the photographic print—in forging interpersonal and communal ties across various contexts and periods of Lithuanian history. The lecture demonstrated how rituals of being photographed, the exchange of prints, and their circulation—whether in the life of 19th-century manor houses, the work of late 20th-century artists, or contemporary subcultures—serve to “cement” the shared existence of people within the material, real world.
